Oregon’s well known Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains will host the Safeway Classic late August of this year.  This LPGA event was won by tour favorite Cristie Kerr in 2008.

Bandon Dunes has also put Oregon golf on the map with its reputation as a must play course for any serious golfer.  The four courses and resort that sit along Oregon’s rugged coastline were designed for one thing: golf.  Obviously, golf is not only defined by the game but also the companionship and camaraderie of those that travel and play together.  Make sure to bring a couple of good golf shoes as the course is meant to be walked and carts are not allowed.  Caddies guide you around the course each and every round and it really provides an experience that is very memorable for golfers.  The resort is located about 5 miles outside of Bandon and there are flights to the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport in North Bend from cities such as Portland and San Francisco.
